Marjorie was found drown in her bath tub by her brother Aaron , they found out she was two months pregnant. Aaron was convinced she had been murdered by her boyfriend Max Colby , the courts found him not guilty. Seven years later Aaron is at a party and meets a girl Teri they get drunk and married. Later Aaron finds out she is the sister of Max and so he decides to stay married to her to get his revenge. This book has many twists and surprises a great story that ends with you feeling good.
I enjoyed this read . The characters are interesting, well-developed and have chemistry. The story is interesting, well-written with a happily ever after. In addition to receiving an arc, I purchased the book for my collection.
I have to say that I really loved this story. Even when Aaron was being an ass to Teri, I was forced by their corresponding emotions to keep reading. As for the climax of the story, I was on pins and needles. I got so anxious I had to take a break from reading! Thank you, Ms. Price for an emotional, original read. I truly enjoyed it!
The story starts off really good. Teri and Aaron get married during a drunken party game. She has no recollection, but he does. She hesitates getting divorced, but he decides they are not after finding out she is the sister of someone he hates. That is where the story goes downhill for me. Small details, like Terri moving in with him, but her sister never wanting to see the place. She is supposed to be an overprotective sister. The brother is also odd. She doesn’t have any contact with him, but this guy telling her to call him, gets her thinking about it. Not realistic.I also could not understand why Terri would put up with the stuff Aaron does. I also don’t get why he would not want to go with romance to get her to fall in love. What he does would normally push her away. I also could not believe he went on a beach getaway without his wife. He is a total jerk, and I don’t see her falling for him. I am voluntarily writing a review from an ARC.

Teri, a recent interior design graduate, was desperately searching for a job. In the mean time she was living with her sister, watching her nephew and making deliveries for her sister’s chocolate business. After making a delivery in an apartment building, Teri was excited to head to her sister’s house and curl up on the couch. Upon leaving to complex Teri recognized a man who made her feel uneasy so instead of heading down the stairs and out the door, she cowered and headed up to the higher floors, rather than down. The man continued to follow forcing Teri to seek entry into someone’s apartment who was having a party. This is where she met Aaron and got so drunk she failed to remember getting married. Marriage wasn't something either of them was prepared for yet neither was so eager to divorce. Aaron’s sister was killed a few years ago and Aaron was on the warpath to find the murderer and make him pay for what he did. Aaron attorney, Hank, realized Teri, Aaron’s new wife was the sister of the man Aaron thought killed his sister. He believed Max caused his sister's death and what better way to seek revenge then go after the sister of the man you want to take down. Stay married to Teri and get revenge was the perfect plan only Teri was sweet, sincere and a virgin. Aaron was cold and arrogant, yet caring.Teri couldn’t figure out why Aaron had so many highs and lows. One minute he was making love to her and the next he was her worst nightmare. Regardless Teri was falling in love with Aaron. She tried so hard to look past his mood swings and focus on the man she fell in love with. Aaron refused to share his feelings for her until he realized her life was threatened and then all bets were off. He would do everything in his power to protect the woman he loved regardless of who her brother was. This review is going to totally blow away all the other reviews out the water.For starters... this book is an awesome piece of work... you’ll get NO SPOILERS... if you know Ashlee Price’s earlier works you know your in for a real treat.Next, the characters are so well written that their lives just seem like your next to them and sharing in their story...I know a lot of my fellow readers are telling you about the book. But I want you to know how it would possibly make you feel and even enjoy it better.I have to say, any opinions expressed within this review are solely and uniquely made by me.
